Platō Coffee - Bedfordview

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Bedfordview Plato branch. The coffees were delicious, the service was excellent and Uncle Phil was a delight! I was impressed with the store’s layout, engaging atmosphere and the superb baristas. Thank you for an awesome experience !

It’s so cool and has a relaxed young vibe compared to most coffee shops. Good coffee although my cuppachino was too hot but once it cooled super tasty. Well worth adding to the coffee runs around town After a few months I have now made it my regular… same coffee same taste every cup. A testament to the great barista culture instore. And now the coffee is perfect temp every time. Saturday June 2024… The guy ahead in for his first visit orders coffees… ones for Hellen. Off the bat Themba asks is that one L or two as he writes… #platocoffee #bedfordview is cool like that!

Plato is a modern, almost Scandinavian, tranquil spot in the 'view!! The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the coffee is really tasty. I recommend the freezo's. Each drink is made is care and a special message is written there for you which is a nice touch. Not very busy so it's perfect to add to your coffee runs when you're in need of a detox. Highly recommended and enjoyable experience.

I go to Plato Bedfordview every single day, and it’s so much more than just a stop for coffee - it’s an experience. The store owner and baristas know all the regulars by name, and they take the time to connect with everyone on a personal level. The warmth, friendliness, and top-notch service makes every visit feel like catching up with friends. The coffee is consistently excellent, but what truly sets Plato Bedfordview apart is the sense of community they have created. I absolutely love Plato Bedfordview! It doesn't matter if I'm getting my post gym coffee, my before school pick up coffee or my "just need a coffee" coffee, Plato Bedfordview is my go to coffee spot! All four amazing baristas (Themba, Thomas, Kate and Karabo) know my regular order as well as my kids orders! The personalized message on every cup puts a smile on our families faces everytime! Jared, the owner is always so friendly, so hands-on and always make sure there is a vibe in store! I can't wait for my next cuppa!

As a loyal customer, I still enjoy Plato's coffee but must address two persistent issues: 1⃣ #OatMilkIssue Crystalline particles observed in oat milk over 2 weeks (reported multiple times). Staff took notes politely, but root cause remains. 2⃣ #SpillProofNeeded New unbranded cups lack the leak-proof reliability of your original logo cups. Recommendations: Audit oat milk storage/supplier Reinstate functional cup standards Will upgrade my rating upon improvements.
